About the design
This piece began by rethinking the typology of a pearl in jewellery, then subtracts it, instead using its form to create a cup‑like setting. The ring’s profile evokes the oyster shell’s curve, its emptiness becoming its beauty.
About the collaboration
Theodóra Alfredsdóttir is an Icelandic‑born, London‑based designer whose practice is rooted in thoughtful material experimentation and storytelling. Her work invites you to notice what’s often overlooked, and Perla is born of that same impulse, showing how absence can give something new form.
Every ring is made to order, minimising waste and ensuring care at every stage. Please allow 5 business days before shipping (and an extra 5 for plating).

100% Recycled 925 Silver and recycled Gold Vermeil. Our gold vermeil styles are made of silver plated with 18k gold - of at least 3 microns. The finish is five times thicker than average gold-plating, and far more durable.

Theodora Alfredsdottir is an Icelandic product designer and educator based in London. After working for renowned designers Philippe Malouin and Bethan Laura Wood, Theodora set up her own studio with a focus on design projects that are window into the process of creating objects.
